Geoff Plant, Q.C

Geoff Plant is counsel at the Vancouver law firm Gall, Legge, Grant & Munroe LLP and a former partner at Heenan Blaikie LLP. Elected to the British Columbia Legislature in 1996, Geoff has served the Province as Attorney General and Minister for Treaty Negotiations. Geoff is widely recognized as one of Canada’s leading practitioners in the area of aboriginal law, having served as senior advisor to the Government of British Columbia in land and resource negotiations with First Nations, and as counsel in a number of leading aboriginal rights and title cases, including the landmark case of Delgamuukw v. British Columbia. In addition to providing BC Hydro with strategic advice on the design and implementation of its power acquisition processes, Geoff has guided numerous private sector businesses in establishing effective relations with First Nations.
