Steelhead LNG understands and respects that the proposed Project has the potential to affect the traditional territories of Aboriginal groups, local communities and stakeholders. Steelhead LNG commits to engaging early in a meaningful and respectful manner in order to develop the proposed Project in a manner that minimizes potential environmental, traditional and socio-economic effects and provides long-term benefits for current and future generations.
Through the development of the proposed Project, Steelhead LNG will engage early and often with potentially affected Aboriginal groups, the public and stakeholders to share information about the proposed Project, seek input, incorporate feedback into planning of the proposed Project, and develop mutually beneficial relationships to meet the long-term objectives of Aboriginal groups, the public, stakeholders and the proposed Project.
The proposed Project will also be subject to a rigorous environmental assessment process that will provide potentially affected Aboriginal groups, the public and stakeholders many opportunities to learn about the proposed Project, provide input and ask questions. We also welcome feedback via the Steelhead LNG website, or by contacting Steelhead LNG directly.
